Since I haven't been blogging lately, I've taken up a new hobby.
This chair was actually pretty nasty even though it doesn't look like it in the picture. My electric staple gun is my new favorite thing! I've re-upholstered this chair, our dining room chairs, and my ironing board.
Rocking horse was $5. Tore off the nasty mane and painted it. Ripped fabric strips for the new mane and tail and stapled it on with my trusty staplegun.
This is my favorite find of all! This couch and 2 matching chairs in perfect condition for $65!! The side table was $10 which I repainted, the lamp for $6, and the milkglass bowl was $2. I made the throw pillows from Amy Butler fabric.
Jesse jokes that this is the D.I. room now, but I'm proud of it!

I am very impressed with your mad skills. You have always had an eye for good finds, to fix them and make them look great. Your front room looks awesome. Good job!
Oh my goodness! I am so happy your back aonline!!! I have checked yur blog like a stalker, then I got busy and have not been on for a while and you have like 4 new posts!!! well I LOVE all you DI furniture, I am the same way I love to pick up free things on the side of the road and redo them. I love your blue and black chair. I need one like that for my photography. I guess I should hit up DI here! but it is far away!

Cute horse mane! Well I loved the rest too but nobody commented on the rocking horse yet. =o) You're very creative and it's cool that you take pictures of your projects. I have a few DI finds that are still in a box in the garage. Hmm.
Awesome! I love the chair so much! I am still so amazed by that quilt you made for Jamie!!! It is absolutley beautiful!
