While I'm glad for the time off work and long weekend, we shouldn't forget the reason for this holiday. We miss Avery and the loved ones who are watching over us, and we remember the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom. The cemetery is so beautiful this time of year. It is very humbling to see all the flowers.
After the cemetery we drove to Delta where my T side of the family gets together to remember our loved ones.
We got to watch Narnia and Indiana Jones again , eat alot of candy, popcorn and drinks, and then sleep in grandma T's theater.
On our way home we stopped to let the boys do some target practicing with my dad and their uncles. I'm not a big fan of guns, and it made me nervous, but it was fun for them.

I'm so happy you mentioned Avery and posted that picture. It's beautiful.
Our family "visits" all of our relatives at the cemetery too. I'm surprised how many people don't, but I guess it's all in what your traditions are. I have always loved Memorial Day (is that weird?) and of course now it's even more special.
Sometimes I'm afraid to mention Jeffrey on things like this. I shouldn't be. Thanks for the sweet post.
I am so glad guys visited Avery. We would have visited out loved ones if we lived by a cemetary where any of them were. Any way. I have not stopped by for a while. How are you? We will be in town for fourth of july. I mentioned to Janna that we should do a girls night. Will you be around?
i can't believe how big your baby is! she is just beautiful. i too love the way the cemetaries look at that time...it is so nice to see that people visit their loved ones that have passed on. i miss you and hope that all is well!! xoxo
